Senior Software Engineer, Storage and Analysis

Cribl, a leading data engine company for IT and Security, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Storage and Analysis to join their remote-first team. This role focuses on building and maintaining their storage and analytics platform, working with metrics, monitoring, and alerting systems. The position offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 - $170,000, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, 401(k), and equity.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving the implementation of metrics and monitoring systems, developing the observability platform, and optimizing storage solutions for high-volume telemetry data. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, cloud technologies (preferably AWS), and experience with time-series databases and analytics engines.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and Linux systems, along with experience in observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the development of engineering best practices.
