Description For DevOps Engineer (USA)

Deskpro, an award-winning helpdesk software company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team in a remote capacity. The role presents unique challenges as Deskpro operates both a SaaS product on AWS and provides on-premise solutions using docker. The position involves working across multiple aspects of the business, from CI/CD implementations to SaaS platform maintenance and on-premise product improvements.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience with container deployment, AWS, infrastructure as code, and Linux-based systems. They should be comfortable with various internet protocols and have experience with MySQL and potentially Kubernetes. The role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for learning new technologies.

  • Experience deploying containers to production on bare metal servers and Cloud providers
  • Strong experience with AWS and running containers in AWS using ECS
  • Experience with IaC tool such as Terraform
  • Experience implementing Gitops flows and creating scalable CI/CD workflows on Github
  • Experience running Linux-based servers
  • Experience with common internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, Exchange, SAML, LDAP)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
