Associate R&D Imagineer - Electrical Engineer

Walt Disney Imagineering (WDI) is seeking an Associate R&D Imagineer specializing in Electrical Engineering to join their innovative team. This role combines creativity with cutting-edge technology to create unforgettable experiences at Disney theme parks and attractions worldwide.

As an Associate R&D Imagineer, you'll be part of WDI Research & Development, where the mission is to use technology to build new experiences for Guests and develop innovative tools for Imagineers. You'll work alongside a diverse team of engineers, designers, artists, and scientists who share a passion for solving complex problems and creating ground-breaking experiences.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $104,600 to $140,200 per year, along with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, and other Disney-specific perks. Based in Glendale, CA, you'll be working in a full-time capacity, reporting to the Executive R&D Imagineer, Creative Development.

Your responsibilities will include developing electrical designs, working on prototypes, participating in design reviews, and contributing to the innovative culture of the R&D Studio. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in electrical engineering, demonstrated through academic projects, internships, or work experience.

Key technical requirements include expertise in analog/digital circuit design, microcontrollers, embedded systems, power supply architectures, and battery management systems. Experience with PCB design, programming languages like C/C++ and Python, and various communication protocols is highly valued.
