Description For Data Science Engineer

Supporting Disney Advertising Sales, the Data Science Engineering team are subject matter experts in integrating complex datasets, creating and optimizing audience classification models, publishing audience attributes across ad-serving endpoints, and working cross-functionally to align data products with business goals. As a Data Science Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving improvements across DET's portfolio by using data. You'll develop data processing pipelines, collaborate on transforming ML code into automated services, and expand your skills in data governance and DevOps best practices. Key responsibilities include developing terabyte-scale data pipelines, collaborating on ML code transformation, and supporting team efforts in data catalogues, lineage, and CI/CD solutions.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 3 years of related work experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent
  • Strong SQL skills, preferably with BigQuery and Snowflake
  • Good Python skills
  • Experience with Git and GitHub
  • Detail-oriented with a passion for organization

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in data process orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow)
  • Experience in infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform)
  • Containerized development patterns (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Cloud computing experience (e.g., GCP, AWS)

This role offers a competitive salary range of $99,600 to $153,500 per year, depending on factors such as geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The position also includes potential bonuses, long-term incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package.
