Decision Science Manager

The Disney Decision Science + Integration (DDSI) is seeking a Decision Science Manager to lead the research and development roadmap for core scientific capabilities supporting decision science products. This role involves conceptualizing, designing, and developing new data and decision science capabilities, potentially leading to reusable software services. The ideal candidate will act as a thought partner and subject matter expert, developing and refining ideas, generating hypotheses, analyzing data, and applying advanced statistical and optimization models to formulate solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead complex projects and technical initiatives to enhance team capabilities
• Conduct research and develop foundational decision science models
• Apply knowledge of multiple technical disciplines and business domains
• Innovate to address new or large problems in system requirements and design
• Collaborate on solutions for complex decision-science based products
• Mentor team members and take a broad perspective on innovative solutions

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant experience
• Competence in mathematical computing (Python, R, Java)
• Ability to understand and support multiple large business domains
• Expertise in statistics, optimization, machine learning, and/or econometrics

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with research proposals and R&D project execution
• Knowledge of revenue management, demand forecasting, and pricing
• Familiarity with software development tools and cloud computing
