Quality Analyst, Hulu Engineering Services

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Technology (DE&E Technology) is seeking a skilled and dedicated Quality Assurance Analyst I to join their team. As a QA Analyst I, you will work together with the software engineering team and other QA Analysts to define and execute the testing coverage needs for DE&E Technology's streaming products across all mobile devices. You will also work closely with product owners, project management, automation engineers, and various other external development teams.

Responsibilities:

• Write and review test cases that are part of a larger test plan
• Execute test cases against development and live builds
• Create detailed bug reports in JIRA
• Communicate defects to stakeholders and developers
• Assist with various tasks including screenshot or video capture of defects and general troubleshooting

Basic Skills Required:

• 1+ year of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Basic understanding of software quality assurance practices and testing methodologies
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Understanding of how to interpret automated test run results

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with issue tracking software like Jira or Github
• Experience writing test cases in Gherkin or Cucumber
• Mobile testing experience
