Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is at the forefront of technological innovation in media entertainment. As a Senior Software Engineer in the Ad Serving Engineering organization, you'll be part of the team responsible for building and maintaining Disney's high-performance, distributed, microservice-based Digital Advertising Platform. This platform handles qualification, delivery, and tracking of Digital Advertising campaigns across all Disney online properties, including Hulu, Disney+, and ESPN+.
As part of the Decisioning Fleet, you'll own services that determine ad placement for breaks across major Disney platforms. You'll directly contribute to optimizing ad qualification and selection to ensure viewers see the right ad at the right time. The role combines technical expertise with business impact, as you'll work on critical services handling entitlements, pacing, targeting, and ad selection.
The position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies in a microservices environment, handling high-throughput, low-latency systems. You'll be using technologies like Java, SpringBoot, DynamoDB, Redis, and Kafka, while working in the AWS cloud environment with modern DevOps tools.
The role is based in either Glendale, Santa Monica, or San Francisco, with a hybrid work arrangement (4 days/week on-site).
