Description For Trip Manager, Trip Operations-Land & Cruise, Adventures & Expeditions

Adventures by Disney and National Geographic Expeditions offer immersive, guided travel experiences for families, friends, individuals, and couples to explore the world's greatest destinations. The Trip Manager-Land & Cruise for Adventures by Disney & National Geographic Expedition Operations will be part of the Land and Cruise team, overseeing a designated portfolio of group programs.

Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating individual departures and supporting On-Trip Staff in destination management
  • Organizing trip-related documentation
  • Communicating effectively with On-Trip Staff, Guests, Contact Center Team, and suppliers
  • Building and managing relationships with On-Trip Staff and suppliers
  • Upholding the Company's product quality and standards
  • Collaborating with other departments such as Trip Development, Legal, Marketing, and Finance
  • Some domestic and/or international travel may be required

The role requires:

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or project management, preferably in travel or hospitality
  • Proficiency in coordinating logistics and implementing plans
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivation and ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build partnerships
  • Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office suite

Responsibilities For Trip Manager, Trip Operations-Land & Cruise, Adventures & Expeditions

  • Coordinate individual departures and support On-Trip Staff in destination management
  • Organize trip-related documentation
  • Communicate effectively with On-Trip Staff, Guests, Contact Center Team, and suppliers
  • Build and manage relationships with On-Trip Staff and suppliers
  • Uphold the Company's product quality and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments such as Trip Development, Legal, Marketing, and Finance
  • Act as a proctor for On-Trip Staff trip expenses and hours worked in SAP
  • Review invoices for accuracy and request invoice payment in SAP
  • Monitor Guest and On-Trip Staff feedback and assist with itinerary modifications
  • Participate in staffing after-hours emergency phone on a scheduled basis

Requirements For Trip Manager, Trip Operations-Land & Cruise, Adventures & Expeditions

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Tourism, Communication or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or project management, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry
  • Proficient in coordinating logistics and implementing plans effectively
  • Proactive problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks
  • Exceptional administrative and organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Detail-oriented with excellent multitasking capabilities
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
