Description For Fire Protection Engineer

DLH Corp is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join their team of over 3,200 employees dedicated to improving the lives of millions through innovative solutions in public health, performance evaluation, and health operations. As a Fire Protection Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and compliance of various buildings and fire protection systems.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing architectural and engineering designs for fire protection systems in over 50 buildings
  • Conducting construction inspections and issuing final occupancy permits
  • Witnessing acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications
  • Evaluating existing building conditions through life safety and hazard analysis surveys
  • Providing technical guidance using various NFPA codes

To excel in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Fire Protection Engineering
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • A valid Driver's License
  • The ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
