They're seeking a Backend Engineer to join their Toronto team, contributing to their Canadian expansion. The position combines technical excellence with real-world impact, as the platform helps level the playing field for personal injury victims across various case types. Working in a hybrid environment (3 days in office), you'll be part of building robust backend systems that power their Claims Intelligence Platform™, which provides crucial insights and automation for injury law firms.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in backend development, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure, with expertise in languages like Python, Go, or Java. You'll work alongside world-class engineers, tackling complex challenges in data processing and ML model integration, while having the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and shape the growing Toronto engineering team.

Responsibilities For Backend Engineer, Growth
- Design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable backend systems
- Work with internal engineering teams on product requirements
- Collaborate on complex backend challenges including data processing and ML model integration
- Contribute to key backend frameworks, libraries, and systems
- Engage in team building efforts and mentorship
- Lead complex engineering projects from inception to deployment
Requirements For Backend Engineer, Growth
- Extensive experience in backend development and distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python, Go, Java, or C++
- Experience with building scalable systems and APIs

- Understanding of modern engineering practices
