Description For Experienced Transportation Engineer or Planner

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and solving complex transportation planning or engineering problems involving all travel modes
  • Communicating clearly and concisely, using strong writing and presentation skills
  • Using various software programs effectively and making timely, informed recommendations
  • Working on diverse projects such as transit planning, traffic simulation, campus plans, and multimodal corridor studies
  • Managing projects and developing high-quality staff and client relationships

Qualifications:

  • 3-8 years of relevant work experience in areas like traffic operations analysis, transportation planning, or travel demand forecasting
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in transportation, civil engineering, urban planning, or related field
  • Excellent technical writing and public speaking skills
  • Experience with project management and marketing
  • Willingness to travel to other geographic markets as necessary
  • GIS experience (preferred but not required)
