FIS is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to join their PTP (Post Trade Processing) Platform team. Responsibilities For InP - Software Engineer Senior(C++, Unix)
- Analysis of user requirements and translation into solution design
- Accurate task breakdown and estimation
- Implementation of new features and feature enhancements in C++ / other technologies
- Focus on quality and shipping working code to users efficiently
- Collaborate on code reviews and best practice within a small, agile team
- Mentoring of more junior team members
- Assisting the Team Lead with the efficient running of the team
Requirements For InP - Software Engineer Senior(C++, Unix)
- 10+ years of commercial software development experience using C++ (ideally on Unix)
- SQL experience (Oracle preferred)
- Experience of distributed systems (e.g. Kafka, Service-driven architecture)
- Relevant degree in a numeric discipline, or equivalent work experience
- Experience of financial markets and trade lifecycle beneficial
- C# GUI experience a plus
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work proactively with minimal supervision
