Description For Game Software Engineer

Gamigo Philippines Incorporated is seeking a Game Software Engineer to join their development team for the MMORPG 'RIFT'. This role combines backend development with game engineering, requiring expertise in C++ and C# programming. The position involves working with game engines, particularly Gamebryo, and handling both client and server-side development.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the RIFT game, working closely with the Product Team to prioritize development efforts. Key responsibilities include tackling technical debt, establishing and documenting development pipelines, debugging both client and server issues, and implementing new features and content.

Responsibilities For Game Software Engineer

  • Continue the development of the video game 'RIFT'
  • Communicate with Product Team to establish priority
  • Work on resolving Tech-Debt
  • Document processes and establish working pipelines
  • Debug Client / Server to solve bug reports
  • Develop new features and content to support the game
  • Develop and improve existing tools to improve development efforts
  • Prepare patches for deployment to live servers

Requirements For Game Software Engineer

  • Experience in software engineering
  • Experience in C++ and C#
  • Critical and analytical skills
  • Experience with Game Engines like Gamebryo
  • Experience in Documenting and Reworking Pipelines
  • Strong written and verbal communication (English)
  • Willingness to learn and grow within a fast-moving industry
  • Work with teams worldwide on established and/or new projects
  • Experience in Debugging Game Client and Server Code
  • Experience in Version Control (Git / Perforce / etc.)
