Description For Appian Developer

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking experienced Appian Developers to support the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in their mission to protect public health. This senior-level position offers an opportunity to work on critical systems that ensure the safety and efficacy of drugs, medical devices, and food supply.

As an Appian Developer, you'll be integral to designing and implementing automated software delivery pipelines, working in an agile environment to develop custom solutions using Appian BPM software. The role combines technical expertise in Appian development with business process optimization, requiring strong skills in Java, APIs, and database integration.

Responsibilities For Appian Developer

  • Design and develop fully automated software delivery pipelines
  • Collaborate within and across agile teams
  • Develop technical documentation and architecture diagrams
  • Participate in agile ceremonies
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements
  • Develop custom Appian solutions using Appian BPM software
  • Integrate Appian applications with other systems and databases
  • Perform unit testing, code reviews, and troubleshooting
  • Create and maintain technical documentation

Requirements For Appian Developer

Java
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • 5+ years of Appian development experience
  • Appian Level 1 or 2 Certified
  • Experience in Agile, Java, API's, Web Services, integrations
  • Proficient with Appian BPM and complex SQL database structures
  • Experience owning project backlog and schedule
  • Experience with integrations with external systems
  • Ability to scope Appian Projects
