Senior Software Engineer - Marketplace (Full-stack Backend Focus)

GetYourGuide, the leading marketplace for travel experiences, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Marketplace team. This role focuses on full-stack development with an emphasis on backend work (80/20 split), primarily using TypeScript and Node.js. The position involves working on their Server Driven UI backend-for-frontend layer, designing and implementing components that enhance the user experience.

The Marketplace team owns GetYourGuide's mobile and web platforms, aiming to deliver an exceptional customer journey through great user interfaces and rigorous A/B testing. As part of a cross-functional team including engineers, designers, and product managers, you'll contribute to building an unbeatable travel marketplace and seamless booking experience.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of software development experience, strong TypeScript proficiency, and expertise in web application development. You'll be responsible for designing scalable solutions, mentoring team members, and driving A/B experiments to improve the platform. The role requires both technical excellence and strong stakeholder management skills, as you'll work closely with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.
