Giddy, a dynamic and rapidly growing e-commerce company, is seeking a Senior Shopify Developer to join their team in Austin, USA. The company specializes in innovative solutions for sexual health and wellness, with their flagship product being an FDA Registered Class II medical device for ED called Eddie.
As a Senior Shopify Developer, you'll play a crucial role in expanding Giddy's online presence across their three website properties. You'll also contribute to building the world's first AI search engine for sexual health and wellness information. This position requires a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in Shopify development, particularly Shopify Plus.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with the CTO and UX/UI team to create robust front-end experiences, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and acting as a Shopify subject matter expert. You'll be involved in building new Shopify themes, altering existing templates, and creating complex custom solutions.
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of e-commerce web development experience, with implementation experience on 5 or more Shopify Plus projects. Expertise in Shopify Liquid, APIs, GraphQL, and custom app development is essential. Knowledge of Ruby and experience with React/NextJS/Node/NoSQL is beneficial.

Responsibilities For Senior Shopify Developer
- Work directly with our Chief Technology Officer to understand technical objectives and collaborate closely with our UX/UI design team to produce robust, and innovative front-end user experiences
- Understand business needs that drive project features & functions and provide valuable internal consultation to enhance our offerings
- Manage multiple projects/websites simultaneously, addressing their needs and requirements with agility and creativity
- Act as a subject matter expert in Shopify, specializing in all facets of the platform, and be on the front lines of building new Shopify themes or altering existing templates, and creating complex custom solutions
- Create compelling solutions and functionality that exceed business goals, staying current on Shopify API changes and adequately utilizing them in your work
Requirements For Senior Shopify Developer
- 3+ years of ecommerce web development experience
- Implementation experience with 5 or more Shopify Plus projects
- Shopify Plus experience required
- Shopify Certification(s) for Headless & Liquid Developers
- Expert in Shopify Liquid template language
- Expert in Shopify APIs and their usage
- REST API working knowledge
- GraphQL expertise
- Working knowledge in Custom Shopify APP development
- Experience in Shopify Theme development
- Proven knowledge of Admin API and Storefront API
- Understanding of Product, Discount, Inventory, Fulfillment, Order APIs, and customizations using the APIs
- Understanding of Discounts, Gift Cards, and their configurations in Shopify
- Knowledge in data migration and synchronization between Shopify instances
- Prior experience with product/Customer/Order import Export management
- Experience integrating with backend systems
