Lead IT System Engineer

As a Lead IT Systems Engineer at Glassdoor, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving many of Glassdoor's core IT infrastructure systems. You will be a member of a small team with wide reach and exposure to a variety of best-in-class technologies. Teams across Glassdoor will rely on your technical acumen to aid in the design and operation of production and service infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:

• Execute systems engineering activities on complex systems
• Manage operational initiatives for network architecture and infrastructure
• Manage and optimize collaboration and communication platforms
• Build and manage cloud-based application and corporate IT service infrastructure
• Partner with Security Engineering to implement cloud security solutions
• Build and administer tools and automation to improve efficiency
• Work closely with the Information Security team
• Design comprehensive monitoring strategy for corporate infrastructure
• Support day-to-day operations and participate in on-call rotations
• Act as a point of escalation for the support team
• Evaluate, define, implement, and manage emerging technologies

Required skills and experience:

• Experience in managing Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, and other SaaS platforms
• Experience with network technology and protocols
• Experience with Amazon Web Service technologies
• Expert in Linux or Windows server OS's
• Extensive experience with client platform management tools
• Automation using scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• Configuration management using platforms like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
• Familiarity with Active Directory
