Description For Application Engineer, Supply Chain Logistics

Google is seeking an Application Engineer for Supply Chain Logistics to join their Technical Infrastructure team. This role involves leading all aspects of web development, from requirements gathering to ongoing support, for both in-house and customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, experience with Java, and the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams.

The position offers opportunities to design and implement systems that automate Alphabet's supply chain, integrate with internal and external systems, and contribute to Google's product portfolio. Responsibilities For Application Engineer, Supply Chain Logistics

  • Write clear, modular, well-structured, and self-sustaining codes, and develop overall systems design, research, and evaluate vendor supplied applications, and develop recommendations on those applications.
  • Help design, build, and deploy internal business applications to support Google's technology lifecycle, collaboration and spaces, service delivery management, and data and business intelligence.
  • Conduct and oversee testing of application modules to ensure application meets specifications and collaborate with analysts and business process owners within one or more teams to help translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Design, develop and run systems that automate Alphabet's supply chain.
  • Integrate our systems with Alphabet's internal systems and third-party logistics providers outside of Alphabet.

Requirements For Application Engineer, Supply Chain Logistics

Java
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or other technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience working with Java.
