Google Cloud is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in High Performance Computing (HPC) for the Manufacturing sector. This role involves partnering with technical Sales teams to showcase Google Cloud's capabilities to customers. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud native architecture, HPC, and customer-facing roles. They will be responsible for understanding customer needs, developing cloud solutions, engaging in proofs of concepts, and troubleshooting technical issues. The role requires excellent technical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to present complex solutions to both technical stakeholders and executive leaders. The Customer Engineer will play a crucial role in helping organizations digitally transform their businesses using Google Cloud's cutting-edge technology and tools. Responsibilities For Customer Engineer, High Performance Computing, Manufacturing
- Work with the team to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer technical objections, and develop the strategy to resolve technical blockers
- Recommend and document migration paths, integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to successfully implement a complete solution on Google Cloud
- Assist Infrastructure Solutions Management teams, contributing to solution and use case assets
- Lead workshops for strategic customers to assess existing application/infrastructure environments and organizational readiness. Identify potential use cases for cloud computing and paths to digital transformation
- Develop architectural blueprints to enable infrastructure, High Performance Computing, and mainframe migration opportunities, coordinating with Product and Specialist teams
Requirements For Customer Engineer, High Performance Computing, Manufacturing
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role
- Experience with High Performance Computing, implementing shared file systems, batch scheduling and workload management
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders
- Experience with the Financial Services commercial ISV Schedulers
