Customer Engineer, Infrastructure Modernization, Public Sector

Google Public Sector is seeking a Customer Engineer specializing in Infrastructure Modernization to join their team in Bucharest, Romania. This role combines technical expertise in cloud infrastructure with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping Central and Eastern European public sector institutions accelerate their digital transformations.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms, along with strong communication skills including fluency in Romanian. You'll work directly with government and educational institutions to demonstrate Google Cloud solutions, manage technical relationships, and drive cloud adoption.

Key responsibilities include delivering technical presentations, conducting product demonstrations, managing proof-of-concept work, and coordinating technical resources. You'll need expertise in networking concepts like software-defined networking, routing, and security concepts including encryption and identity management.
