Google's Technical Infrastructure team is seeking a Data Center Services Manager to lead design, construction, and capital project support for ongoing operations. This role focuses on providing tactical leadership over build projects, developing teams of engineers and project managers, and serving as the partner/vendor development lead. The position requires extensive experience in mission-critical facilities, particularly data centers, with deep knowledge of technical systems including switchgear, generators, chillers, and various control systems. The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of program management experience and a strong background in design-build environments. As part of Google's Technical Infrastructure team, you'll help maintain and develop the architecture that powers Google's vast product portfolio. Responsibilities For Data Center Services Manager
- Interact with leadership from external stakeholders, trades, commissioning agents to develop understanding of project issues, risks, and opportunities across multiple functions
- Align teams around an understanding of project delivery strategy, functional milestones, and workflow for capital improvement and greenfield projects
- Provide leadership and development focus to internal teams consisting of project management and engineering roles
- Develop an organization with a customer service orientation to internal stakeholders
Requirements For Data Center Services Manager
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 10 years of experience in program management
- 10 years of experience in the design-build or real estate development environment
- 10 years of experience in mission-critical facilities (e.g., data centers, chip fab, etc.)
- 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports
- Experience in data center equipment/environments
- Experience in design, construction, and commissioning of facilities
