They will work closely with cross-functional sustainability teams to identify, evaluate, and integrate opportunities for technology insertion to further Google's data centers towards net zero carbon.
The role involves enabling new infrastructure and IT technology insertion into modular data center portfolios, developing and implementing energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly data center designs, and leading investigations to inform systems sizing and carbon reduction optimizations. The architect will also drive solution development with internal and external partners and coordinate with outside design consultants on new Data Center designs.
This position requires a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in Data Center Systems Engineering. The ideal candidate should have experience with sustainability-related technologies, emissions accounting, and a deep understanding of data center mechanical and electrical infrastructure subsystems.
Google offers a competitive salary range of $139,000-$207,000, plus bonus, equity, and benefits.
