Distinguished Engineer, Demand and Capacity Planning

Google's Demand and Capacity Planning tooling organization seeks a Distinguished Engineer to lead technical strategy for infrastructure resource management across Machine Learning, Cloud, and Standard Fleets. This critical role involves developing and implementing strategies, processes, and tooling to ensure Google has the right infrastructure resources in the right place at the right time.

The position requires deep expertise in large-scale systems, forecasting, and supply chain management. You'll drive the technical roadmap for Google's demand and capacity planning, partnering with engineering and product teams to define technical directions and ensure infrastructure meets Google's growing needs. As a Distinguished Engineer, you'll be responsible for automating and unifying planning across all infrastructure types, developing advanced forecasting models, and building a structure of technical leadership. You'll work closely with ML, Cloud, and Standard Fleet teams to drive innovation and bring new technologies to the platform.
