Engineering Manager, Android GPU Driver Quality

Google is seeking an Engineering Manager for their Android GPU Driver Quality team. This role is part of the Android Games and Graphics organization, whose vision is "A world where game development is performed on Android first". The Engineering Manager will lead a team focused on improving the quality of GPU drivers in the Android ecosystem, working with game and high-performance app developers to identify driver regressions and transform them into actionable certification. They will also develop driver quality metrics to drive and measure ecosystem impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team focused on improving GPU driver quality in the Android ecosystem
• Collaborating with game and app developers to identify and address driver regressions
• Developing and implementing driver quality metrics
• Contributing to product strategy and team development

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
• 8+ years of software development experience in languages like Python, C, C++, Java, or JavaScript
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with 2+ years in people management
• Experience in Android and Graphics
• Preferred experience in game development and GPU driver creation, testing, or debugging
