As the Head of Engineering for YouTube Playables, you will:

  • Lead engineering for the YouTube Playables organization.
  • Review and contribute to the Playables technical roadmap and long-term investments, as well as assess launches and major decisions.
  • Develop and recruit talent to meet Playables' goals, and represent Playables in front of YouTube leadership.
  • Engage with engine partners and game developers.
  • Own production metrics and performance, manage technical dependencies with YouTube and Google teams.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, 8 years of software development experience, 3 years of experience in the Gaming industry, and 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role with 2 years of people management experience. Preferred qualifications include experience with Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS), 5 years of technical leadership and management of large teams, and understanding of game development for popular platforms.
