Network Test Engineer

Google is seeking a Network Test Engineer to join their Platforms Team. This role involves ensuring Google's massive network operates at peak potential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with complex networking equipment, a deep understanding of networking protocols, test design and implementation skills, and a background in IP network design.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Testing Google cloud-based platforms for functionality and scale
2. Developing automation frameworks for current and future cloud platform products
3. Automating test cases for CI/CD environments
4. Collaborating with Engineering Development, Product Management, and Engineering Productivity teams
5. Working with the Platform Deployment team to drive best practices

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience), along with 1 year of experience in software development and testing. The candidate should have experience with test methodologies, writing test plans, creating test cases, automation, debugging, and proficiency in a coding language such as C, C++, Python, or Go.

Preferred qualifications include experience with network equipment, network protocols testing, debugging, test automation, network test automation, test coverage, Python, networking equipment, ethernet switching, and troubleshooting.
