Description For Principal Architect III, Central, Google Cloud

Google Cloud Platform team helps customers transform and build what's next for their business using cloud technology. As a Principal Architect III in the Customer Engineering organization, you will lead cross-functional teams to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern enterprise cloud strategies. This hybrid technical and business advisor role requires embodying executive-level qualities, leading conversations, and directing sales team execution by combining technical goals and business insight. You'll partner with Value Engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Cloud.

Key responsibilities include building trusted advisory relationships with strategic accounts, providing domain expertise in public cloud and enterprise technology, making recommendations on integration strategies and enterprise architectures, and managing holistic enterprise architecture relationships with customers. You'll engage with high-level stakeholders, identify customer priorities, and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and customer-facing roles. You should be comfortable presenting to technical stakeholders and executive leaders, and have knowledge of structured enterprise architecture practices, hybrid cloud deployments, and on-premise-to-cloud migration roadmaps. The ability to deliver results, work cross-functionally, and influence audiences is crucial for this role.

Responsibilities For Principal Architect III, Central, Google Cloud

  • Build a trusted advisory relationship with strategic accounts and engage with Architects, VP Engineering, CTO and CIO, and identify customer priorities, technical objections and design strategies encompassing the entire Google ecosystem to deliver business value and resolve blockers
  • Provide domain expertise around public cloud and enterprise technology, and effectively promote Google Cloud with customers, at conferences, and online
  • Make recommendations on integration strategies, enterprise architectures, platforms, and application infrastructure required to implement a complete solution while providing best practices to customers to optimize Google Cloud effectiveness
  • Manage the holistic enterprise architecture relationship with customers by collaborating with specialists, product management, technical teams, and more
  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, and other related events as needed

Requirements For Principal Architect III, Central, Google Cloud

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role
  • Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data
