Description For Privacy Engineer

Google is seeking a Privacy Engineer to join their Devices and Services Privacy Team, focusing on ensuring user trust and data safety across Google's device ecosystem. This role combines technical expertise in privacy engineering with product development, working on Google devices, Home, and Health platforms. The position is part of Google's Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in privacy technologies like differential privacy and automated access management, along with the ability to analyze and assess engineering designs from a privacy perspective. They'll work closely with product and engineering teams to embed privacy solutions from early design stages through launch and beyond.

Responsibilities For Privacy Engineer

  • Exercise design and architecture related knowledge to develop and drive technical privacy solutions
  • Drive privacy solutions into products and services, including early engagement with product and engineering team
  • Post launch support in the form of privacy subject matter analysis for incidents and vulnerability reports

Requirements For Privacy Engineer

Python
Java
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience designing solutions that maintain or enhance privacy posture
  • 2 years of experience applying privacy technologies
  • Experience in Software Architecture, Risk Analysis, Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Experience in privacy testing in wearables, smart-home or mobile devices
  • Domain knowledge in health related privacy designs
  • Familiarity with mobile and Android platform, and app development
