Description For Product Manager, Consumer Mobile, Chrome Browser

We're focused on making a better browser (on both desktop and mobile) to help users take advantage of all the web has to offer in a safe and secure way. Chrome is available across all major platforms — iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, Linux and Chrome OS. We also built Chrome as an open source project so the entire web ecosystem could benefit from the latest innovations in speed, simplicity and security.

As a Product Manager for Consumer Mobile in the Chrome Browser team, you will:

  • Design and launch various experiments with analytics usage metrics and business impact, and iterate through analysis or User Experience (UX) research partnership on concept studies.
  • Engage and align with the broader Chrome team involving feature engagement trade-offs, and the latest capabilities/content.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with developers, user experience design (UXD), and other internal partners (user experience research, PR, marketing, legal, and privacy) to define work on Chrome's Android team and potentially the Android OS platform team.
  • Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex cross-functional projects.
  • Extend our product strategy for certain segments of users and drive it forward, getting buy-in from leadership and stakeholders across Chrome and Android teams.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with developer, user experience design (UXD), and more internal partners (user experience research (UXR), Public relation (PR), marketing, legal, and privacy) to define work on Chrome's Android team and potentially the Android OS platform team
  • Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution and success of complex cross-functional projects
  • Extend our product strategy for certain segments of users and drive it forward, getting buy-in from leadership and stakeholders across Chrome and Android teams

Requirements For Product Manager, Consumer Mobile, Chrome Browser

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in product management or related technical role
  • 1 year of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
  • Master's degree in a technology or business related field (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting) (preferred)
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with developers, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders (preferred)
  • Experience in shipping mobile features or working on consumer-facing solutions (preferred)
  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and across a distributed team in different time zones (preferred)
