Program Manager, Data Center Projects

As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

In this role, you will be responsible to deliver infrastructure on time and to budget. You will need to drive progress whilst maintaining governance.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities: • Develop and implement a global program approach that is flexible, effective, efficient, and responsive to stakeholder needs. • Act as a subject matter expert on data center Capital Expenditure (CapEx) construction program controls (technical solutions, cost, schedule, risk etc). • Working with the Moves, Adds, Retrofits, Changes, Utilities, Security (MARCUS) Program Manager to ensure program controls are in alignment with the overarching MARCUS strategy. • Enhance current processes to maximize effectiveness and efficiency. • Balance both local and global issues that affect successful delivery. Assume a leadership role in working with peers, managers, internal stakeholders, and executives of Google and Supplier Partners.
