Research Scientist, Generative AI Fashion

Google is seeking a Research Scientist for their Generative AI Fashion team. This role involves inventing and building new generative AI-based models for fashion-focused experiences, with a focus on images and videos. The ideal candidate will have a PhD in Computer Science or a related field, experience in computer vision and machine learning, and a track record of publications in relevant conferences or journals.

The Research Scientist will be part of the Apparel Machine Learning team, which has successfully built virtual try-on features for Google Search and Ads. The team is now expanding to work on video generation and virtual try-on for anyone. This role offers the opportunity to work with extensive training data and computational resources to build the best virtual try-on experience in the world.

Key responsibilities include:

• Inventing and building new generative AI models for fashion-focused experiences
• Developing new architectures for high-quality video generation
• Tuning existing virtual try-on and garment generation models
• Collaborating with other Google Product Areas and Google DeepMind
• Authoring research papers to share findings with the research community
