Description For Security Engineer, AI Agent Security

Google is seeking a Security Engineer to join their AI Agent Security team, focusing on protecting their advanced AI systems and large language models. This role sits at the intersection of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, requiring both deep security expertise and understanding of AI/ML systems.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $141,000-$202,000 plus additional benefits including bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits package. Based in New York, you'll be part of Google's Core team, which builds the technical foundation behind Google's flagship products.

As a Security Engineer, you'll be responsible for conducting cutting-edge research into security threats targeting AI agents and LLMs, designing innovative defense mechanisms, and developing proof-of-concept exploits to validate vulnerabilities. You'll work closely with engineering and research teams to implement practical security solutions across Google's agent ecosystem.

The ideal candidate should have at least 2 years of experience in security engineering, with expertise in security assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analysis. Strong coding skills in general-purpose programming languages are essential. While a Bachelor's degree is required, advanced degrees in Computer Science with specialization in Security or AI/ML are preferred.
