Senior Data Scientist, Product, Googler Technology and Engineering

Google is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join their Googler Technology and Engineering team, focusing on transforming Google's enterprise operations through AI and Advanced Analytics. This role sits at the intersection of data science and enterprise solutions, working to optimize Google's business operations, supply chain, IT support, and internal tooling.

The position offers a competitive base salary range of $156,000-$229,000, plus additional compensation including bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits. The role can be based in several major tech hubs including San Francisco, Austin, New York, or Sunnyvale.

As a Senior Data Scientist, you'll be responsible for applying Google's cutting-edge data science techniques to solve enterprise-level challenges. You'll collaborate with Research, Core Enterprise Machine Learning, and ML Infrastructure teams to build solutions that drive business impact. The role requires both technical expertise in statistical analysis and machine learning, as well as strong business acumen to translate insights into actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities include leading problem-solving initiatives, developing and implementing analytical models, defining and tracking KPIs, and designing machine learning solutions for enterprise support. You'll work closely with Product Managers, UX teams, and Engineers to drive data-informed decisions and contribute to strategic planning through metric-backed OKRs.

The ideal candidate brings 8 years of experience in analytics and data science, with strong programming skills in languages like Python, R, and SQL. A quantitative educational background (Bachelor's required, Master's preferred) in fields such as Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related areas is essential.
