Description For Signal and Power Integrity Engineer, Pixel

Google's Pixel team is seeking a Signal and Power Integrity Engineer to join their diverse team that pushes boundaries in developing custom silicon solutions for Google's direct-to-consumer products. This role involves early-stage project planning, PCB floor planning, and simulation for signal and power integrity. The ideal candidate will have experience with LPDDR3/4 specifications, USB Type-C, and MIPI specifications. They will manage SIPI trade-off decisions and work with cross-functional teams to optimize product design. The position requires expertise in electromagnetic field and transmission line theory, as well as familiarity with various lab tools. As part of the Google Pixel team, you'll contribute to shaping the future of Pixel devices and services, focusing on delivering the world's most helpful mobile experience through advanced designs, techniques, products, and experiences in consumer electronics.

Responsibilities For Signal and Power Integrity Engineer, Pixel

  • Manage PCB layout SI and PDN of product and its sub-component development
  • Drive resolution of Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) challenges in collaboration with the Design Engineering, and PCB Design and System teams
  • Perform a correlation study between simulation and lab measurement to confirm simulation accuracy
  • Provide simulation and Design of Experiments (DOEs) simulation to support cross-functional teams and system teams on SIPI related issue debugging, root cause, solution finding, and solution optimization

Requirements For Signal and Power Integrity Engineer, Pixel

Python
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
  • 4 years of experience working with signal and power integrity simulation of system boards, including SoC/chipset, DDR memory, and other communication interfaces
  • Experience with industry SI simulation and lab tools (e.g., Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Designer, ADS)
