Software Engineer, Metrics and Business Intelligence

Google is seeking a Software Engineer for their Metrics and Business Intelligence team within the Core organization. This role is critical in providing insights to help the client organization make informed decisions based on tangible evidence. The Metrics team is responsible for defining and executing key performance indicators that enable data-driven investment and decision making on frameworks and infrastructure serving Google's largest products.

As part of the Core team, you'll have the opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company. You'll be working on developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The role involves handling information at massive scale and extends beyond web search.

Key responsibilities include writing product or system development code, reviewing code from other developers, contributing to documentation, triaging product issues, and evolving metrics, data pipelines, and dashboards. You'll work with data analytics tools, reporting platforms, and potentially front-end technologies.

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in software development, data structures, and algorithms. Experience with data warehousing and unstructured databases is a plus. This role requires fluency in English for interaction with local stakeholders.
