The team is responsible for building AI assisted troubleshooting solutions as part of Gemini Cloud Assist, catering to GCP customers as well as internal support teams to understand users intent, perform root cause analysis, and provide quality insights.

As a Staff Software Engineer on the Gemini Cloud Assist Troubleshooting team, you will:

  • Work as an AI SWE, individual contributor, and leader.
  • Collaborate with Support and Support Platform leadership, Product, and Engineering teams to enable insights and data-driven decision making.
  • Work with Support and playbook data to perform analysis, identify important business problems, and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Interact cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, Design, Operations, and User Research teams.
  • Lead initiatives to improve data, tools, and methodology to help scale the team's work.

Responsibilities For Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Cloud Assist, AI

  • Work as an AI SWE, individual contributor, and leader on the Gemini Cloud Assist Troubleshooting team
  • Work with Support and Support Platform leadership, Product, and Engineering teams to enable insights and data-driven decision making for driving Gemini Cloud Assist Troubleshooting quality for cloud customers
  • Work with Support and playbook data to perform analysis, identify the most important business problems, translate these to tractable questions, process data, and perform analysis, and then communicate the results to stakeholders to inform the product direction
  • Interact cross-functionally and cultivate partnerships with a wide variety of teams, work with Engineering, Product, Design, Operations, and User Research to identify opportunities for impactful analysis
  • Lead initiatives to improve data, tools, and methodology, beyond the scope of a single product application, to help scale the team's work

Requirements For Staff Software Engineer, Gemini Cloud Assist, AI

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms
  • 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products
  • 3 years of experience with software design and architecture
  • 5 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management)
