Staff Software Engineer, Google Ads

Google is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their Google Ads team. This role involves developing next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas from various areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile technologies.

As a Staff Software Engineer, you will:

• Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects
• Influence and coach a distributed team of engineers
• Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance large scale software solutions

The Google Ads team is responsible for building Google's Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel, and video advertising, as well as analytics. They create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads, help grow businesses of all sizes, and enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
