Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Corp Eng Program Management Office. This role is part of Google's IT organization, Corp Eng, which builds world-leading business solutions that scale a more helpful Google for everyone. The ideal candidate will use their technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, working with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company.
Key responsibilities include planning and prioritizing work across multiple teams, executing roadmaps with partner teams, managing cross-functional software engineering programs and projects, and playing a key role in the advancement of strategy and policy. The role requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, as well as strong communication and investigative abilities.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience), 2 years of experience in program or project management, experience managing end-to-end software engineering programs, and experience with matrixed leadership roles. The ideal candidate should be comfortable explaining team analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discussing technical tradeoffs with engineers.
