Description For Technical Program Manager II, Shopping Quality and Data, Commerce

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II for their Shopping Quality and Data team within Commerce. This role requires a bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience) and 2 years of program management experience. The ideal candidate will have experience with data analytics tools, reporting platforms, and full product life cycle engineering.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate with cross-functional partners. The role requires strong technical expertise and the ability to explain analyses and recommendations to executives as well as discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers.

Key responsibilities include learning new processes and technical applications, collaborating with Engineering on internal applications and process changes, working with product management on tool and workflow design, managing projects and deliverables, and analyzing quality, performance, and process efficiency to drive improvements.

Responsibilities For Technical Program Manager II, Shopping Quality and Data, Commerce

  • Learn and build knowledge in new processes and technical applications
  • Collaborate with Engineering to introduce internal applications and process changes
  • Collaborate with engineering and product management on the design of tools and workflows, and work collaboratively with feature teams on surface launches across a diverse area ranging from price insights to web result ranking and diversity
  • Prioritize and manage projects and deliverables, and adapt projects to changing processes and requirements
  • Analyze quality and performance, process efficiency, identify areas of improvement, and drive appropriate action to resolution

Requirements For Technical Program Manager II, Shopping Quality and Data, Commerce

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • 2 years of experience in program management
  • Experience working with data analytics tools and reporting platforms
  • Experience with technical program management of full product life cycle engineering
