Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager III for Data Center Construction to join their Data Center Delivery and Engineering (DCDE) team. This role involves managing large-scale, site-wide data center construction and delivery projects, overseeing scopes related to construction and capital improvement. The ideal candidate will be responsible for detailed designs, construction management, commissioning, and project handoff to operations teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing construction projects, ensuring delivery, cost, quality, and EHS standards are met
- Establishing and maintaining delivery models and global vendor relationships
- Creating growth plans and participating in talent acquisition
- Implementing innovative construction methods for data center equipment and facilities
The role requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience), 5+ years in program management, and 5+ years in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or mechanical engineering. Experience in commercial contract management, procurement, and construction project management is essential.
Preferred qualifications include 10+ years in commodity or supply chain management in data center/mission-critical environments, vendor operations management experience, understanding of data center electrical and mechanical systems, and fluency in English and German.

- Establish and maintain various delivery models and global relationships with multiple vendors
- Create a growth plan and be involved in hiring/recruiting of talent
- Research and implement construction means and methods of data centre equipment and facilities
