Responsibilities For Web Solutions Engineering Manager, Global Partnerships Tools
- Lead the team by defining the overall architecture of systems developed by Global Partnerships Tools
- Design, implement, launch and land code with a focus on long-term maintainability. Own significant portions of the design of systems including authoring and presenting design specifications, guiding the team to ensure rigor in code development
- Work with Product, UX, and business domain experts to translate organizational needs into technical decisions, and build systems that meet those needs
- Balance engineering work across the team of Googlers and vendors, anticipate bottlenecks or shifts in capacity and make data-driven optimizations and adjustments to work allocation
- Prioritize teams deliverables to ensure smooth, quality and timely execution of deliverables
Requirements For Web Solutions Engineering Manager, Global Partnerships Tools
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience in software development
- 9 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design
- 4 years of experience as a Tech Lead or Engineering Manager
- Experience with both back-end languages (e.g., Java or Python) and front-end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript)
- Experience working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)
