Description For Software Engineer (Contract)

Healios is at the forefront of digital healthcare transformation, specializing in providing neurodevelopmental and mental health services through innovative digital solutions. As a pioneering healthcare technology company, they're on a mission to make exceptional healthcare accessible to anyone, anytime, anywhere.

The company is seeking a Software Engineer to join their team on a contract basis (initially 3 months with potential for extension or permanent transition). This role offers a competitive daily rate of up to £450 and is fully remote within the UK. The position focuses on developing new clinical pathway functionality and implementing OpenAI integrations, working alongside a small, dedicated team of software engineers.

The ideal candidate will bring strong Ruby on Rails expertise, coupled with front-end development skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with modern frameworks like View Component, Stimulus, and Tailwind would be advantageous. The role requires not just technical prowess, but also a commitment to ethical practices and maintaining high standards in safeguarding, given the sensitive nature of healthcare services.

Healios stands out for its strong commitment to diversity, inclusion, and flexibility. They embrace the philosophy that "Great minds don't think alike" and actively work to create an inclusive environment where different perspectives are valued. The company offers unparalleled flexibility for employees and maintains high standards in safer recruitment practices, including DBS checks and professional references.
