JASARA PMC is seeking a highly qualified Lead Environmental Engineer to take charge of our environmental initiatives in the management of our construction and development projects. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring project compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines while leading a team dedicated to sustainable practices. You will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental strategies that align with our company goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the environmental engineering team in the development and execution of environmental management plans
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and ensure compliance with local, regional, and international regulations
- Oversee the implementation of mitigation measures to minimize environmental impacts during construction activities
- Monitor environmental performance and conduct site inspections to address compliance issues
- Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on environmental strategies and initiatives
- Prepare and present reports on environmental performance and compliance to project management and stakeholders
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and environmental professionals within the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in environmental engineering, with proven experience in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations and standards relevant to the construction industry
- Proficiency in conducting environmental assessments and audits
- Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Professional certifications (e.g., LEED, ISO 14001) are highly desirable
