Kairos Power is seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation and Controls Engineer with mechatronics experience to work with a team responsible for designing, installing, programming, testing and troubleshooting automation and controls for mechanical handling systems. This position offers high engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate has cross-discipline competence in mechanical and electrical design for system integration, as well as understanding software-hardware interdependencies. Key responsibilities include developing mechanical controls programming using Allen Bradley PLC, providing engineering design input, collaborating with teams in real-time, assisting in component selection, performing debugging and root cause analysis, and managing industrial network devices. Qualifications include a B.S. in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering, 2+ years of relevant experience (or recent graduates with relevant project experience), knowledge of control systems, sensors, actuators, and industrial protocols. The role offers competitive compensation ($90,000 to $110,000 for Alameda, CA), benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid vacation.
