Founding Engineer

Kontigo is pioneering as a USDC-Smart Neobank specifically designed for the Latino community, focusing on building a stable currency platform with global access. As a Founding Engineer, you'll be joining a YC-backed startup (S24 batch) at its early stages.

The role requires a founder mindset, as emphasized in their recruitment approach. You'll be working with a modern tech stack including:

• Next.js for web development
• React Native for mobile applications
• Backend infrastructure using Supabase, Firebase, and Prisma
• Nest.js for WhatsApp integration
• AI integration using OpenAI and Anthropic APIs
• Blockchain development using Solidity and web3.js
• TypeScript as the primary programming language

This is an opportunity to shape the technical foundation of a fintech platform aimed at solving currency stability issues for the Latino market. You'll be working directly with the founders, including CEO Jesus Alberto Castillo Ferrer and founder Gino Guatavita, in a startup environment that values innovation and direct impact.

The position offers both competitive compensation ($40K-$120K) and significant equity (0.50%-2.50%), reflecting the founding nature of the role. The company, founded in 2023, is actively building its core team and provides the flexibility of remote work while maintaining its base in San Francisco.
