Mainframe Application Developer

Kyndryl is seeking a Mainframe Application Developer to join their team as a trusted advisor to customers. This role combines technical expertise in mainframe systems with customer-facing consultancy work. The position requires 5-7 years of mainframe programming experience, with deep knowledge of COBOL, JCL, and various mainframe technologies including CICS, MQ, VSAM, and DB2.

As a Mainframe Application Developer, you'll be responsible for managing test batch efforts, coordinating with development teams, and providing first-level support. The role involves working in shifts between 9am and 9pm IST, with 24x6 on-call support rotation. You'll be instrumental in gathering requirements, translating them into specifications, and guiding customers through application modernization initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with excellent communication abilities to effectively interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You'll be part of the Kyndryl Consultant Profession, working alongside other consultants, architects, and technical experts.
