Responsibilities For Senior Engineer, Batteries

  • Specification, integration, and validation of battery cells, battery packs, and battery management systems
  • Partner with global suppliers and internal teams across North America, Europe, and Asia
  • Develop and execute detailed test plans for battery performance and safety
  • Support hardware design, quality engineering, and operations teams
  • Work with commodity management on emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Evaluate new battery technologies and assembly techniques

Requirements For Senior Engineer, Batteries

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
  • Hands-on experience in battery development, testing, and qualification for high volume toy, robotics, or consumer electronics
  • Knowledge of global battery safety standards (IEC 62133-2, IEC 62368-1, etc)
  • Experience with battery performance tests and test equipment
  • Understanding of battery reliability and manufacturing processes
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to travel 15-30 days per year
