Responsibilities For Senior Data Engineer II
- Perform daily data loads ensuring recurring updates are logged and tracked
- Interface with other technical personnel to document, interpret, and finalize requirements
- Produce efficient, repeatable code adherent to best practices
- Write and review detailed specifications for data components
- Complete complex data engineering bug fixes and identify root causes
- Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements
- Design and work with complex data models
- Mentor less senior data engineers on methodologies and optimization techniques
- Train entry-level data engineers

Requirements For Senior Data Engineer II
- Bachelor's Degree (Engineering/Computer Science preferred but not required) or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in data management area
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation language including optimization techniques
- Strong understanding of normalized/dimensional data modeling principles
- Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems
- Expertise in development languages (Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP, C/C++, HTML, XML, SQL, Windows, Unix, .Net., HPCC)
- Strong knowledge in Industry data engineering best practices
- Knowledge of test-driven development
