Staff Software Engineer - GAI Platform & Tools (Applications)

LinkedIn is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for their GAI Platform & Tools (Applications) team within the Foundational AI organization (FAIT). This role is crucial in addressing challenging AI foundational problems and developing platforms and tools for GAI evaluation. The position offers a hybrid work option based in Sunnyvale, CA.

Key responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with leadership on team strategy for GAI evaluation
• Working with backend engineers, front-end engineers, and UX/UI designers to develop GAI evaluation platforms and tools
• Providing technical leadership for large-scale, cross-functional projects
• Staying updated on emerging technologies and incorporating them into work

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of industry experience designing and building enterprise-grade applications
• 4+ years of experience with object-oriented programming (Java, Python, etc.)

Preferred qualifications:

• 8+ years of industry experience, including building platforms/tooling for large-scale data
• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Experience building applications in machine learning or AI domain
• Strong communication and leadership skills
