We're seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator / Data Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll design, build, and maintain infrastructure for data acquisition, storage, and processing. Key responsibilities include developing data pipelines, warehouses, and ETL processes, ensuring data security and integrity, monitoring database performance, and implementing data governance frameworks. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create Power BI dashboards, develop data models, and drive continuous improvement in reporting capabilities.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in data analysis, dashboard creation (preferably with Power BI), and advanced SQL writing (Snowflake preferred). Familiarity with Hadoop (Vertica and Impala used) and database design is essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are crucial.

Responsibilities For Database Administrator / Data Engineer
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure for data acquisition, storage, and processing
- Develop robust data pipelines, data warehouses, and ETL processes
- Ensure data security and integrity through access controls and encryption
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Implement data governance frameworks and policies
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
- Utilize advanced data modeling techniques (DBT preferred)
- Champion best practices for data visualization and reporting design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data integration processes
Requirements For Database Administrator / Data Engineer
- 5+ years of experience analyzing data and creating dashboards and reports (PowerBI - Preferred)
- 5+ years of experience interpreting and writing advanced SQL (Snowflake preferable)
- Familiar with Hadoop (we use Vertica and Impala)
- Experience with database design, normalization, and optimization
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and be a self-starter
